    Trader-BOB's MUSIC offers an unbranded , late 1800's 5 string banjo definitely a Buckbee by headstock design. PROJECT. The 17 fret ebony fretboard is very worn, (she's been played a lot). The neck is showing .0255" relief / bow on my dial indicator. Very pronounced "V" shape on the back of the neck, more pronounced than the Dobson / Buckbee Victor Star, that I also have listed. This banjo is probably older than the Dobson. All the friction tuners look matching and original. The screw in the base of the heel neck must have been put there to stabilize the dowelstick glue joint, wiggling the stick, and the neck indicates the glue came loose. No markings on the wooden wedge secured dowelstick.  10-3/4" single German silver rolled main body. 24 tension hooks, with mounting shoes, not hex lugs. 1 shoe, 3 hooks, and 4 hook nuts are missing. The original "Flesh Ring" is missing, Some somewhere along the life of this instrument, decided to put on a synthetic head, instead of natural goatskin or calfskin. Synthetic heads have their own built-in flesh rings. The nut, bridge, and tailpiece are missing. Measures, 34-1/2" overall, 25-3/4" scale length, 1-1/4" nut width, 10-3/4" head diameter, 2-1/4" body thickness. Not up to this project? PLEASE do not BID / BUY ! Read my feedback, buy with
