    Welcome To Trader-Bobs Ebay Auctions. Allow me to introduce myself. I am a professional ebay seller. I have been involved in retail sales for over 50 years, the largest portion, of these years, having been my own successful retail auto parts / sales / repair business, which I started from scratch.  I take your satisfaction, VERY SERIOUSLY!     Trader-BOB's MUSIC offers a 1930's Slingerland open back 17 fret "IRISH" Tenor banjo. Polished up professionally setup, play ready.  17 fret 3 part maple / ebony / maple neck. .0195" bow / neck relief, non- reinforced. .120" string action height. The fretboard is not a separate piece, the frets are set into the neck itself.  10-3/4" calfskin head, from Slingerland 2 Stars, probably the original. All the hardware / nuts, lugs, and hooks were all polished in a rock tumbler, using crushed walnut shells as a medium. All the nuts on the tension hooks, do not match. There are 10 of one design, and 10 of another design. I did not have enough on one design the same thread to make a whole set. One of the screws that attach the lugs on does not match the other 19. Original friction tuners, all work fine. Bridge and tailpiece not originals, were missing when I got this. New tenor banjo strings, .030"W, .024"W, .016"P, .009"P. 29-3/4" overall, 1-1/4" nut width, 20-3/4" scale length, 10-3/4" head diameter, 2-1/2" body height, 5/8" rim thickness.
