Description
Travel back in time with this old tenor banjo. Made by Kay in Chicago, Illinois, in the late 1950s or 1960s.I just put new strings on it today. It has a removable resonator on the back. I think the 11" head is original, but it's still in decent condition. The bridge is a modern replacement.
The rosewood frets and fretboard are in fine condition. The 12th fret action is 5/32", which isn't fabulous, but is playable.
It has ordinary age and play wear, with various scuffs, notably on the back of the resonator.
No case.
It was made as a budget banjo, and I'm selling it an affordable price.
Questions?
It will be well packed with plenty of new 1/2" bubble wrap and shipped in a new 38"x19"x7" stout cardboard instrument box.
