This is a fantastic early example of the Ernie Ball Stingray Bass.  This has been fully inspected and set up by the Stingray Man and sounds and plays phenomenally well.

Description
This has a sunburst body with a black pickguard that is very attractive.  The neck is maple with a rosewood fretboard.  This has a 2 band eq which is nice because this is closer to the Pre Ernie Ball basses than a new stingray would be.  The bass is all original except for one pot which is off of a 1979 Stingray bass.  This has all original hardware and the cool larger style bridge.  There was once a thumb rest added to the bass so there is a couple of screw holes into the body and pickguard.  The bass looks fantastic and has a nice Music Man molded hardshell case.
Condition
This is in fantastic condition all the way around.  The finish looks great and all the hardware is really clean.  This in many ways looks untouched.  The back of the neck has definitely been played and the finish has a nice patina.  The fretboard is clean and the frets also look great.  The bass has been played but it looks fantastic nonetheless.  The case is also clean.
The bass looks great, sounds great and plays great.  The 1980's Ernie Ball basses are unique and this is a great example of one of these.  If you want a classic stingray sound but with a newer Stingray feel this bass is it!!
