42 St M & ST N AVE RW Horse Car Horsecar Bell. Condition is "Used".
This line ran from 1878-1895 and was 25 miles long.
The pictures show the excellent embossed letters and great overall condition. The clapper and hanger is also in excellent shape-but where they attach it is certainly not original as you can see it has a bit of plumbers chain.
My name is Wayne Plaquet and my father is Roger Plaquet. As you probably know he was quite the collector and well known in the horse car bell world.
He passed his collection to me when he passed last year and I have decided to dissolve it by selling it to interested parties.
All of his bells are located in Ontario Canada and I am willing to ship wherever you need. Shipping is and if its more (and it will be) I will pay it.
My knowledge of these is limited but I was left with the bells and a price list of what the current market is as seen through the eyes of Roger and from all of the enthusiasts I have spoken to-he knew the ins and outs of the market.
As you will know he was a wealth of knowledge and mentor to many in the business and hobby in both the USA and Canada. He authored many articles about the subject over the years and was well respected.
