4 String Tenor Banjo with Hardshell Wood Case from
Stromberg-Voisinet Company of Chicago, Il. The banjo measures roughly 32” in height and is 13.25” in diameter across the wood resonator. It has the fancy pearlized headstock, carved neck, sound chording keys, Grover Tuners(missing the ferrules) and with what appears as mostly all original hardware though believe a pearlized piece below the keys on the neck is missing and may or may have not be fitted with an armrest. It is also missing 4 of the brackets, but others remain intact. It has the Stromberg-Voisinet labeling to inside of the rim and the underside of the head is stamped Jos Rogers Jr Daisy Brand USA. One of the strings is broken and will need replacement, but all keys are in place and appear to function well. There is a bit of finish wear to the hooded Waverly tailpiece and some scruff/scratch with some light fade to the wood at the heel of the resonator, but otherwise this banjo appears to be in nice shape. The wood case has
tolex
wear and one of the hinges will need to be reattached, but otherwise a competent
hardshell
case for the banjo.
