    B&D Banjo, Silver Bell, 4 String, 1920s
    This 1920’s B & D Silver Bell Special No. 1 was owned by my wife’s maternal grandfather, who played in bands in San Francisco. We have old photos of him with the banjo, if you purchase it and are interested in its history.
    The banjo features 19 frets and 24 Brackets. There are lovely pearl neck inlays and headstock decorations as well as a small diamond type pearl design on the back of the headstock.
    The 11-inch pot has dark stained wood, perhaps maple, and the beautifully hand-carved neck appears to be mahogany with a white-bound ebony fretboard. The head is intact and sounds great.
    As far as we can tell, the entire instrument is all-original, save maybe the head. Feel free to message me with any questions you may have.
    This instrument comes with an original hard shell case that is in fair condition. All clasps work properly, and the lining is intact with no odors.
