    Description

Chicago Tunnel Company telephone box and telephone.
Own a unique artifact from the Chicago Tunnel Company.
These were placed near intersections to call a dispatcher and coordinate train movements in the tunnels.
This was in a section that had never flooded.
Removed two years before flood of 1991 and stored indoors.
This was the last box with the telephone still in it, and I believe it was in the 100 S block of Dearborn St.
I have no place to display my collection and this piece deserves to be preserved.
Telephone is a Bell System Western Electric non-dial set, approx late 1930s
It's possible the telephone could be functional with some repair.
    EDIT!
Actually, nevermind shipping costs, despite what is indicated.
I prefer that it remain  near Chicago, and I will deliver within the Chicago region.
I will absorb shipping costs to anywhere else.
