Trader-BOB's MUSIC offers a Harmony made, 1930's (?) Banjo mandolin. No brand name on it. Identified by the headstock shape. Thank you to a more knowledgeable ebayer. . Very well made, quality instrument.  Not your cheap beginner's model.  11" goatskin / calfskin head. 20 tension hooks, with shoe mounts to the body, not the cheaper hex shaped lugs. All the hooks, nuts, shoes, and hex head machine screws match.  The 11" main hoop, is grooved cut in the upper edge, for the hooks to set in.  Someone before me liked the little jewel add-ons on the fret board. 16 fret plastic bound, fret board looks like ebony, but may not be the original. There is a wedge piece glued between the neck, and the fret board, see picture number. This appears to have been done in lieu of resetting the neck angle. This would have required removing the fret board, my reasoning for the possibility of the fret board being newer.   There is a minor crack up the center of the fretboard, easily repairable, with a little CA glue.  There is wear on the fret wires, and fret board. The neck is laminate, looks like mahogany in the middle, and maple on the outsides, and an ebony heel cap. The unmarked tuners all work fine, look original.  The natural hide head, is in great shape, could be the original. Birdseye maple body probably rolled. the bottom edge is painted black, cannot tell.  Mid body triple wood inlay looks like mahogany, maple, mahogany. The imprint on the dowel stick, leads me to believe there was a resonator on this at one time. Non original covered 8 string tailpiece.   Needs a new set of strings, and probably re-tension the head.  Measures, 24-3/4" overall, 13-3/4" scale length, 1-1/8" nut width, 11" head diameter, and 2-1/2" body thickness. READ my feedback, buy with
    confidence!
