    Description

    This is an ORIGINAL VREDESTEIN Profilux 6.40 x 13 AMPHICAR tire.  This is an original Amphicar tire, made in Holland by Vredestein with the unique tread design for Amphicar 770.  This tire is 55 years old and does show some slight deterioration of the outer surfaces, but is in otherwise good condition. Probably best used as an original spare, but I have no reason to think that it would not be useable on the road.  It also includes a newer Firestone tube that has a slow leak but I have not been able to find it.
