This is a parts banjo that is made in the classic bluegrass flathead banjo design.  This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description
Banjo players are well known for taking piles of banjo parts and constructing fantastic instruments from a variety of parts.  That is what this banjo is.  The parts that were used on this are definitely quality parts and this is a really good looking and sounding banjo.
This starts with a 3 ply hard rock maple shell.  This has a mahogany resonator and a flamed maple neck.  The hardware is nickel.  This has a one piece flange and a nickel plated 20 hole tone ring.  The fretboard is rosewood with a bowtie inlay pattern.  This also has really attractive carving on the back of the headstock and neck heel.  This has a geared 5th string tuner and classic style D tuners.  This has a lot of good quality parts and is put together with the same design of a Gibson Banjo with the hard rock maple shell, 20 hole ring, bowtie inlay etc.
This is a good sounding banjo that also plays well.  This would be a great option for the player that doesn't want to spend a lot but does want to get something that is good.  This also includes a hardshell case.
Condition
We professionally cleaned this banjo here at the Banjo Warehouse.  We disassembled the pot and buffed all of the metal with a high powered buffer.  The wood has been waxed and now this has a really nice shine to it.  We cleaned and oiled the fretboard as well.  This was already in good shape on the way in so there isn't much wear anyways.  The resonator and neck look great.  The fretboard is also in good shape.  The first 5 frets show some wear but that does not effect the function of the banjo.  The rest of the frets look really good.  There are spikes at the 7th-10th frets.  This is in really good shape and has a clean case as well.
Set Up
We professionally set up this banjo at the Banjo Warehouse as well.  This has a new Remo frosted head which has been set to 90 on a drum dial.  The bridge is a new Huber bridge and this has been set with correct intonation.  The banjo has new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and the action is set nicely.  This is also adjustable.  This is a quality parts banjo that is made with a quality design and has been professionally cleaned and set up to look, play and sound its best.
