Rare Antique Vintage Dayton 5 String Banjo Conversion For Parts Or Repair.C.late 20's Dayton Tenor banjo with the original Dayton tone ring.Neck appears to be of the Rettburg and Lange or Supertone type.Pot is in good condition with some mixed nuts on the hooks.Tailpiece may be the original.Pot is thick and dense with a good tone ring.This set up should produce excellent sound quality.The neck at one point suffered a a slight twist but this was corrected by a newer fretboard that is slightly thicker on the right side only noticeable sighting down the neck the nut is lifted to compensate the action.Some light fret ends dressing is in order.This would is a great candidate to work on for someone with moderate skill and experience.It could also be separated and set with a finer neck to produce an absolutely great sounding banjo.
