Description

Rare New York City Railroad train indicator from the 1890s.  i am not familiar with the early track systems so i can not say for sure which station it would have been at.  It lists the 149th street train, the union ave train and the platform train.  This looks as though it would work on current from the tracks and the relays would react and move the arrow.  The knob on the side was to reset the arrows to left facing.  Measures 9 5/8 wide by 11 1/2 tall and 3 3/4 inches from front to back.  The face that the arrows are on has a varnished tin look to it inside.  a couple brass plates inside are marked Bell.  The front glass could be removed to clean but i will leave that to the buyer if they wish to do it.
