STUNNING Ordovician Brittlestar Fossil Protaster sp. Ophiuroid Starfish Morocco

Description

A great specimen of a fossil brittle star or ophiuroid from the Ordovician of Morocco. The specimen has a well-preserved central disk showing the mouth with its five toothed jaws and it also has very detailed whip-like arms visibly consisting of many tiny ossicles carrying countless spines. This stunning fossil was carefully coated with a matte acryl varnish for protection (removable with acetone).
