vintage 5 string banjo

Description

This is a vintage 5 string banjo with a heavy steel tone ring. I can’t read the makers mark but the dowel rod does say Artist . It was stamped and over the years the stamp has worn and I can’t make it out. Photos show any markings and the condition of the banjo. The neck is straight and frets are in decent shape No bows or warps to the neck. The pot is made of birds-eye maple. I haven’t played it, I was going to fix it up as a project but I just don’t have the time, i have quite a few other projects that need to come first.
