This is a Vintage Japanese Conrad Bowtie that has strings which are set higher then I like to set them.  This is being sold as a project but could absolutely be played right now.

Description
This was made in the 1970’s in Japan and is the standard Bowtie design.  This has all original parts except for the tailpiece, armrest and all of the tuners.  The original parts are including a full size 20 hole tone ring.  All of the new parts are definitely upgrades from the originals.  This also has an aftermarket 5th string capo added.  The banjo is definitely a quality banjo but I can’t seem to get the strings down to where I like them without buzz.  I am selling this as a project even though it absolutely could be played right now.  In fact I know a lot of people that prefer this string height and would have no problem selling this banjo to someone else set up like this.
